Brenda Jones

Brenda Jones enjoys a diverse career as a performer and music educator. She is highly regarded as a collaborative pianist, playing duo recitals with principal musicians from the Australian Chamber Orchestra and the Sydney Symphony as well as touring with the ACO on their national concert series. Brenda was recently a featured guest pianist on tour with the Australian String Quartet, performing at Ukaria and at the Dunkeld Festival. After living overseas for 18 years, Brenda is thrilled to have recently moved back to the USA.
American born and trained, Brenda studied with renowned pedagogue John Perry at USC, where she obtained a BM and MM with academic distinction before furthering her studies with Joan Havill at the Guildhall School in London. She was named a Gilmore Young Artist and a finalist for Presidential Scholar of the Arts.
Brenda was a major prizewinner in the 2003 Dublin International Piano Competition and a Semi Finalist in the 2004 Sydney International
Piano Competition.
Brenda has had solo engagements with the Pacific Symphony Orchestra, YMF Orchestra, Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, and the Irish National Symphony. In 2016 she founded Forest Piano Academy, and in 2019 joined the faculty at the Sydney Conservatorium High School, where she taught piano majors and wrote the Keyboard Musicianship program. Her prize-winning students have won honors in many prestigious competitions, including the Nan
Price Memorial Scholarship and the Canada International Piano Competition.
